Tom Illidge, 79, passed away on Aug 18th, 2022, in Kamloops Hospital. He is survived by his Wife Lynda; Sons Chris, Mike, and Darrell; Daughters Tracy and Trish; Brother Billy; Sisters Marianne and Margie; nine Grandchildren; and three Great-Grandchildren.
Those who knew Tom respected him for his flawless integrity and selflessness. Raised with values learned through small town life, Tom appreciated the values of hard work and easily shared his hands-on knowledge with anyone who asked.
He was, without a doubt, one of the hardest working, loyal and knowledgeable men in the Bridge River Valley. With a contagious smile and infectious laugh, Tom could easily capture an audience with stories from his childhood, or through his many mining adventures across Canada. Tom made himself continuously available for others in need, through plowing a driveway, or filling an Oldtimers wood shed for the winter. If you heard of a man in the Bridge River Valley catching the ‘big one’ it was often a tale told by Tom, a passion he exercised on questionable ice thickness during the start of every winter season. In the summer months, you could find Tom and Lynda enjoying numerous outdoor activities throughout the area. Tom’s legacy will forever remain entrenched in the Bridge River Valley.
Thank you for always encouraging and challenging us to seek our personal best. We will continue to honor your memory, by living through these values & passing down to next generation.
We love you and will miss you dearly,
