On Wednesday, February 8th, 2023, we said our final farewells to our brother Norman Loucks. Family spent most of the day with him at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops and in the early evening he quietly slipped away and became a loving memory to be cherished and held in our hearts forever.
Norman was predeceased by his partner, Pete Lenaghan and his Father and Mother, Howie and Inez Loucks. Left to cherish his memory are: sister’s Barbara Loucks and Judy Duggan (Andy), and brother’s Bob (Deb), Doug (Linda) and Clifford (Carrie Leonard) as well as several cousins. While having no children of his own, he loved kids of all ages and will be remembered by nephews Jim Loucks, Justin and Kevin Duggan and their families; nieces Keari Hart and family as well as Kim and Haylee Loucks.
Norman was born in Regina in 1946. After several moves the family settled in Kamloops in 1955. Norm grew up on Seymour Street and went to school at Allan Matthews, John Peterson and Kam High. As a teenager, he taught himself to keyboard, learned to play the bagpipes with the local Highland Marching Band, was a Scout, an Air Cadet and became a Figure Skating Judge.
