Janet was born in Finch, Ontario, to Blake and Pansy Nephew. She was predeceased by her younger brother Harold and sister Leila.
Janet grew up on the family farm and went on to Queens University where she met and married Steve. They spent 14 years in Marathon, Ontario where she taught grade 6. Janet and Steve moved to Kamloops in 1964 and Janet continued teaching and enjoyed her little dogs and a wonderful retirement.
Janet will be remembered by her children Paul Playford and Peggy Lee Lincoln (Brad)her granddaughters, Maralee Lincoln (Tony Dekleva), Kimberlee Edstrom (Ken ) and Harmony Playford. She loved watching her great grandchildren Liam, Karis, Mia Mae and Amelie grow.
Janet set high standards for herself and expected the same from others.
A private family Celebration of Life will follow in the spring.
