I was very sorry to hear the news of Hans' passing.  I now live in Kelowna but went to Cariboo College with Donna in Kamloops in the early '80s.  Those were the days.  I remember going to the Jensen's many times to spend time with Donna, Diane and Mr. and Mrs. Jensen.  Like mine, their family was a very close European family.  Donna and Diane were very lucky to have the parents they had.  Condolences are sent from myself and also from my parents Martin and Barbara Schinkelwitz of Kamloops. My condolences to the Jensen family on the passing of Hans. In the early 90's, I had the pleasure of meeting Betty and Hans, when they welcomed me on their bowling team. What a warm, friendly couple they were to a newcomer like me. Their genuine kindness and happy attitude towards life left a lasting impression on me!

Donna and Diane,
When your Dad was at the trailer seeing my mom back in October when Dad was admitted to hospital, he told her "If there is anything you need let me know".  When she thanked him he said "Because you know, we're family".  That is always how I felt about us.  Our Dad's were more than best friends, they were like brothers here in Canada.  So many times I would come home to your Dad's truck in the driveway and the two of them sitting and talking over coffee.  All the memories of camping trips to Bonaparte and hunting trips and Chritmas get togethers.  When I saw the photo in the gallery of the 5 of us on our couch at Christmas I was so touched that you memorialized not only your Dad but what a special friend he was to so many people.  I believe they are in Heaven, their beloved dogs racing about in fields or sitting with them in a boat...there's a fishing derby going on and they are spending their days under the clear blue sky, a light breeze blowing and tugs on their lines.
