Ellen Catherine Woodward

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ellen Woodward (née Welder) on September 14, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family.

Ellen will be forever missed by her husband of 56 years, Jim; her daughters, Monica (Sunil) and Lisa (Jeff); her grandchildren, Katerina, Ethan, Katelyn, and Michael; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Caterina; her siblings, Vic, Len, and Rose; her in-laws, Al, Dee-Dee, Ruth, Glow, Bill, Mary; and her niece, Lori.

Ellen cherished her family, loved life, and everyone who shared it with her. Her effortless smile and kind words endeared her to many. Her caring heart led her to become an Early Childhood Educator and an active volunteer at numerous schools, the hospital, and the Catholic Church. Ellen’s legacy of kindness will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

A Prayer Service will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 255 Nicola St., Kamloops.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 255 Nicola St., Kamloops.
