With family at her side, Betty passed away peacefully at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops on Wednesday April 2nd, 2014 at the age of 58.
Betty was born and raised in McBride, BC on May 1st, 1955. She married her husband Armin in 1974 and moved to Kamloops in 1976 to start their family in the city they both grew to love. Over those years she raised her family and supported her husband as President, but mostly social planner, for the company they started in 1984 (Anchor Door & Window). Thru the years she has touched the lives of many employees, clients, associates, and friends. Her smile, sense of humour, dedication to family and friends, and her love to party will be missed by all.
Survived by her husband Armin, son Gregory (Alana) Krenz, daughter Stacy Kenny (Steve) and grandson Aiden Conor Kenny, sister Jean Moshenko, brothers Fred and John Kolida, Aunt Kathryn Wyers, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother Mary Kolida on September 5th, 2013.
A Celebration of life will be held Sunday, April 13th, 2014 at 1:00pm in the Schoening Funeral Chapel, 513 Seymour Street, Kamloops BC.
A very sincere thank you to all the staff at R.I.H and those in the Intensive Care Unit who took such great care of Betty until the end. A special thank you to Kathy Magee for all her support and help with Betty's needs over the past year.
