Barb was born Friday, December 5,1969 to Betty and Roy Haldorson in 100 Mile House BC. She was named after the movie "Barbarella" by her father. In 1978 she lost her father in a MVA and then in 1979 moved to Kamloops BC where she lived most of her life.
In 1991 Barb became a proud mother of her son Jeffrey and a daughter Jesse in 2002. She loved her children dearly but unfortunately lost her son in 2018 and struggled with that until the day she passed away. Barb was a social bug and could talk your ear off, had tons of friends that she loved dearly. She was also a very caring helpful person and would give you the shirt off her back to help you. She helped the homeless with food and blankets and hot coco in the winter months. My sister was brave, saving lives of the homeless by bringing them back to life and calling the ambulance.
Barb was an excellent straight A student and loved a challenge to crossword puzzles. Her memory was extraordinary, never forgot anything that had ever happened in her entire life. She was always there to take you down memory lane. She had a love for the outdoors, fishing, camping, rock and fossil hunting, horses and all living creatures. She loved music from the 80's and rollerskating in the 80's, dancing and singing on stage or at home with her sisters. She was very close to 2 of her sister Ruby and Anna, we call ourselves "The 3 Musketeers." Barb enjoyed the explorations of Padova City (Tranquille Creek) for a thrilling haunted experience every time.
In 1994-1995 Barb worked as a The Carrier Service Assistant for the Winter Olympics in Grande Prairie AB. She had been employed in Hospitality, Janitorial, Forestry, Management, Manufacturing to Technician. It didn't matter what job it was, she succeeded at everything and loved a challenge. In her younger days her most proud accomplishment was modeling for Anne Kline and her Invention of specialized ear "Muffs."
We will miss her dearly, she was loved by many, fly high with the angels above into the arms of God.
Barb was predeceased by her (Father) Roy Haldorson, (Mother) Betty Haldorson, (Son) Jeffrey Bennie, (Step-father) Armand Meunier, (Sister) Julie Haldorson, (Sister) Debbie Twan, and (Sister) Wanda Bochar.
She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her beautiful daughter Jesse Haldorson, (Sister) Ruby Lee, (Brother-in-law) Clint Lee, (Sister) Anna Haldorson, (companion) Brian Carter, (brother) Dan Haldorson, (Brother) Rick Haldorson, (Brother) Joe Paradis, (Nephew) Kyle Haldorson, (Niece) Ashley Matthews, (Niece) Melissa Paradis, (Nephew) Bradley Paradis, (Niece) Stephanie Antonick, (Niece) Chrissy Cottrell, (Aunty) Dorthy Mclean, (Aunty) Edith Heppner, (Great-nephew) Taylor Antonick, (Great-niece) Wyatt Antonick, and (Great-niece) Aria Matthews
