Numeriano Tangaro “Junior” Tampon Jr., 47, of Pahoa, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014. He was born in Kahuku and retired as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Celebration of life will be held at Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home- Hilo on Saturday, February 1, 2014. Visitation at 10:00am, service at 1:00pm. He is predeceased by his sister Emily Anne Keli’iho’omalu of Hilo; He is survived by his spouse Marlene R. Eleneki of Pahoa; mother Priscilla H. Tampon of Kahuku and father Numeriano “Numy” Tampon Sr. of Kahuku; son Ryan (Manu) Tampon of Hilo; hanai son Jaston Eleneki of Pahoa; daughters Cherie Tampon of Kaua’i and Tierra Madrona of Hilo; sisters Lita (Reggie) Torres of Kahuku and Gina (Peter) Kaupe of Arizona; 10 grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and cousins.
