Scott David Bessette, devoted father, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend left us all too soon on October 15, 2016 at the age of 52. Scott had a heart and mind like no other; a profoundly compassionate soul who displayed love and kindness to all who knew him. In conversation, his intelligence and quick wit were ever present as was his love for the Boston Red Sox, Bruins and Dallas Cowboys. When it came to the Red Sox, he always kept the faith and was ecstatic when they won the World Series in 2004. He was a lover of music and avid fan of The Dave Matthews Band. More than anything, he loved spending time with family and friends.
Scott was born in Houston, Texas to Doris and Raoul Bessette and moved with his family every four years throughout the United States, France and Taiwan. He attended high school at Taipei American School in Taiwan and graduated from Ramapo High School in Wyckoff, New Jersey. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Southern New Hampshire University. Throughout his professional career, Scott worked in the hotel, restaurant and travel industry and founded a successful mobile imaging business in 2011.
Scott will be deeply missed by his wife, Nicole Bessette; two children, Ryder and Ruby; parents, Raoul and Doris Bessette; brother Ronald Bessette and his wife Cathy Battistelli; sister Kathy Young and her husband, Mark; loving in-laws, Madeline and Bill Maglio; Michelle and Chris Grande; Danielle and Ryan Jenkins and nieces and nephews, Casey, Daniel, Erik, Jayson, Laura, Christopher, Cole, Avery, Greyson and Olivia. He was preceded in death by his sister, Anne Marie Bessette.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm, with a service to begin at 4:00 pm at Aycock-Riverside Funeral & Cremation Center, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, Florida 33458.
