Patsy was born on August 23, 1948 in Miami, Florida, to Grant and Marjory Henes. She graduated from Miami High School in 1966 and married her sweetheart, Steven DeLine, in 1968. Together they raised two loving children, Robert and Stephanie.
Patsy was a dedicated and compassionate preschool teacher who touched the lives of countless children and their families over her twenty-year career at Country Day of Jupiter. Her classroom was a place of warmth, laughter, and learning, where every child felt valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. Her colleagues admired her energy, patience, and unwavering commitment to her students. Former students of all ages would greet and hug “Miss Patsy” when they encountered her around town.
Patsy is survived by her husband of 56 years, Steven DeLine; her two children, Robert DeLine of Seattle, Washington, and Stephanie DeLine (Birch Browning) of Cleveland, Ohio; her two cherished grandchildren, Sam and Joshua Browning. She also leaves behind her sister Barbara (the late Owen) Bell of Waynesville, North Carolina, and brother Russell (Joanne) Henes of Wilmington, North Carolina, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
In accordance with her wishes, Patsy was cremated, and her ashes will be spread in the Great Smoky Mountains, her second home and “happy place” for the last thirty years. Patsy’s love and warmth brought family and friends together, and her absence will be keenly felt. The family would appreciate your presence and support in their time of sorrow, rather than sending flowers.
