Michael D’Angelo, Jr. of Jupiter, Florida (formerly Staten Island, NY) passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 57 Years, Sylvia; daughter, Nancy; son, Michael III (Anne); brother, Pat (Karen); five grandchildren: Michael IV, Christina, Alyssa, Samantha, and Jessica; and one great-grandson: Leonardo. He was preceded in death by his sister, Louise and brother, Frank.
Family and friends were most important to him. Michael retired from the City of New York Department of Sanitation as an officer in 1990. He was President and served on the Board of Governors for West Shore Little League for over 30 years. Mike was an original member of the Association of Olde Time Barbell and Strongmen (Iron Mike). He was a member of the Iceberg Athletic Club of Coney Island and the Polar Bear Club. An avid photographer, his favorite subject being his grandchildren at sporting events. He taught us all respect, love and never sweat the small stuff. A giant amongst men!
Mike will be greatly missed by many good friends and loving family members. Visitation will be at Aycock-Riverside Funeral Home 1112 N. Military Trail Jupiter, Florida on Monday, May 23rd from 9 to 10:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Peter Catholic Church in Jupiter at 11 AM.
