Mary Jane Wright

Mary Jane Smith Wright passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. She was born in Beverly, New Jersey on June 11, 1921 to the late Frank and Marguerite Smith. She met Andrew Wright while she was serving in the Red Cross during WW2. They were

married for 47 years when Andy passed away in 1994. Before moving to Florida in 1962, the family ran a boat rental business in Barnegat Light, New Jersey , and Mary Jane enjoyed overseeing the business finances and raising their three children . Soon after moving to

Tequesta, Florida, she took a sales position at the popular Red Hen clothing store, and worked there for over ten years. She loved to travel, and served as a travel agent in

Tequesta for several years before retirement. For the last seven years she lived in Jupiter, and enjoyed taking her dog, Fritzie, for daily walks along side of her golf cart. She was a golf enthusiast, and loved travel, music and word jumbles. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, wife and friend. Mary Jane was the mother of three children, Christine Kennedy, Decatur, Georgia, Andrea Johnson, Palm Beach Gardens, Fl, Andrew Wright Jr, and Juli Wright Okeechobee, Fl, She is survived by five grandchildren, Erin Kennedy Middleton, Patrick Kennedy, Ryan Kennedy, Heather Johnson, and Bradley Johnson. There are two great grand children, Gage and Emma Middleton.
