It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Laura Ann Wyrick, a beautiful soul who graced our lives for 36 years. She peacefully departed on January 7th, 2024, in Jupiter, Florida. Born in Knoxville, TN, Laura ventured to Florida after high school, where she embraced the sunshine and pursued her dreams.
Laura's journey was one of resilience and accomplishment. She earned her nursing degree from Florida University and furthered her education at the University of Tampa, attaining a Masters of Science degree. Settling in Winter Haven, FL, then recently Jupiter, FL where she dedicated herself as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) in Dermatology.
Beyond her professional achievements, Laura exuded a zest for life. Her love for sports, including ice skating, kickboxing, running, boating, and gym workouts, reflected her vibrant spirit. Animals held a special place in her heart, evident in the companionship of her beloved puppy, kitties, and parrot.
Laura's kindness, thoughtfulness, and caring nature left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her departure creates a void that will be deeply felt by family and friends. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the beautiful life she led.
Laura is survived by her loving family: Sherron Burleson (Mother - Jupiter, FL), Steve Wyrick (Father - Maryville, TN), Alex (Brother) & Jimena Wyrick, and children, Sebastian & Isabella. She leaves behind Ann Crawford (Grandmother), Gary Burleson (Uncle) & wife Julienne (Tennessee), Jan and Jon Dempsey (Aunt & Uncle - Tennessee), Chelsea Burleson (Cousin - Naples, FL), Rebecca, Lisa Kate, and Mary Dempsey (Cousins).
In honor of Laura's memory, the family will hold a "Celebration of Life" on her 37th birthday in February, a heartfelt tribute to the extraordinary woman she was. May her spirit continue to shine brightly in our hearts, and may she rest in eternal peace.
