Debbie was born in Hampton Bays, New York, to parents Judith and Peter Pfeiffer. She graduated from Hampton Bays High School and continued on to receive a degree from American University before moving to Sarasota, Florida and later, Jupiter, Florida. She spent her 30-year career in the banking industry, acting as a teacher and a mentor, as she did with nearly everyone she met. Debbie was passionate about people and connection and had a zest for life, which she approached joyfully.
Debbie had a fun, loving, and hopeful nature that made her a unique and beautiful person. She will be remembered for the selflessness she exhibited toward others, as well as for the real love she invested in the people around her. Debbie was so many things to so many people: daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was a woman of strong faith and a lover of Key West, country music, sunflowers, cozy socks, her “rock-lobster” colored Jeep, annual family vacations, good pizza, and funky earrings. She made strangers into friends in just a few short minutes and her kindness and New York sass spread joy wherever she went.
Debbie will be eternally loved by her surviving family, Judith Pfeiffer - mother; Michael Hamilton - husband; Lori Smudsky and Peter Pfeiffer - siblings; Anna Lejnar, Luke Lejnar, Meagan Macias, Ethan Hamilton, Owen Hamilton, Tessa Lejnar, and Julia Lejnar- children and countless other friends and family members.
She was predeceased by her father, Peter Pfeiffer, and uncle, Richard Pfeiffer.

My Dearest Deb,
I was blessed by God to have you placed into my life. The 20 plus years that I knew you and the 13 that we were together as husband and wife were the best years of my life. You were a light to everyone who was also blessed to encounter you and you have left your fingerprints all over this world. Everyone who knew you was better for the experience. You made me a better husband, father and man. You were the perfect wife, friend and partner to me and I will cherish every memory that we created together. I never truly believed in the concept of a soulmate until you. My heart is broken and the loss is unbearable, but I take comfort in knowing that your pain is gone and you are in a better place. Until we can be together again, you show everyone in Heaven what it means to be an Angel and I’ll do the best I can down here to honor your memory. One more time, I’ll say these words to you:
“Marry me. Love me forever. Sleep in my arms every night. Kiss me every day. Be intimate every chance we get”.
I love you Debbie, now and for always.
Forever your devoted husband, Mike
