John W. Bowles

Loving father of Wendy Bowles, and Brandy Peterson (Jermaine); he is also survived by his grandsons, Brice Peterson and Blake Peterson, friend, Quintin Lockhart and a host of loving family and friends.

John Wilbur Bowles was born March 4, 1948 in Indianapolis Indiana to Hardy and Victoria Bowles. Born the youngest of his three siblings (one proceeding him in death) he was given the nickname Butch before moving to Georgia at a very early age. A graduate of South Fulton High School, he received an honorable discharge from the Army after two years of service. After meeting and marrying Annie Pearl Brown also known as Phene, Butch and Phene had two daughters, Wendy and Brandy. He was blessed with two wonderful grandsons Brice and Blake, who were the brightest lights of his life.

For over 25 years, he worked as a Senior Customer Service Agent for Delta Airlines where he forged long lasting friendships. After an early retirement from Delta, he began a 2nd career in delivery and eventually embraced retirement for good. Over his life, he touched the lives of many people in many ways. From his many bonus daughters to any friend, family member, or neighbor who needed a helping hand. He will be greatly missed.
