Ronnie Allison Fine, age 79, of Jonesborough, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, a son of the late John O. Fine and Sylvia Leach Fine. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Diana Marie Fine.
Ronnie was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and took pride in being the official door greeter. He was proud to serve his country as a Marine Corp Veteran. During his time in service he received the following decorations and citations; National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He worked as a painter for decades. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a great storyteller. He had a passion for cars, motorcycles, and loved building model cars.
He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, J.B. Fine and wife Becky, Richard Fine and wife Tracey, and Jason Fine and wife Dawn; one daughter and son-in-law, Carrie Fine-Kruse and husband Jeremy; six grandchildren, Rhonda, Justin, Morgan, Paul, Kaylan, and Kaidon; two great grandchildren, Brinley and Jason; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Sandy White, and Debbie Payne and husband John; three brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws, Butch Johnson and wife Connie, Rick Johnson and wife Jane, and Ronnie Johnson and wife Jen; and several nieces and nephews.
A Private Family Committal Service and Inurnment will be held at Eden United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pete Tackett officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the DAV Chapter 39 Honor Guard of Bluff City and members of the Marine Corp Honor Guard.
The family would like to extend their thanks to family and friends for all the love and care that was shown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Generation Next building fund at Antioch Baptist Church.
