Edna Lougene Foster Lloyd, age 88, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Christian Care Center of Unicoi County. She was born in Erwin, TN, a daughter of the late Andy T. Foster and Zetta Chandler Foster. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Richard Lloyd, Sr., and eldest son, Richard (Rick) Lloyd, Jr.; and siblings: Mae Hughes; Ray Foster; Rosa (Rosie) Stancil; Oliver Foster; Raymond Foster; Pauline King; William A. (Junior) Foster; Francis (Francie) Ingle; Gladys Bailey; Arvil (Baldy) Foster; Lorraine (Enie) Simmons; Dorothy Baucom; and William H (Billy) Foster.
Edna retired from Hoover Precision Products in Erwin and was a member of Evergreen Free Will Baptist Church, also in Erwin, for over 50 years.
Edna is survived by her younger son, David W. Lloyd; daughter-in-law, Sandra (Sandy) Lloyd; grandson, Thomas Lloyd, and wife, Starr; grandson, Richard (Ricky) Lloyd, III; brother, Robert Foster; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 21, 2022 from 11:00AM until 12:00PM at Evergreen Free Will Baptist Church, 910 Hoback Street, Erwin, TN. Committal Service and Interment will follow at 12:30PM at Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Noah Taylor officiating. Pallbearers will be Gary King, Gary Lloyd, Ricky Lloyd, Tim Whitson, and Robbie Foster. Honorary pallbearers will be men of Evergreen Free Will Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association National Capital Area Chapter, 8180 Greensboro Dr., Suite 400, McLean, VA 22102 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
