Born in Blue Island, Cook County, Illinois to Melvin & Jeannette C. Werner, Carolyn previously lived in Oak Forest, IL. Before moving to the Treasure Coast area in 1980.
Carolyn graduated from Forest Ridge Elementary School and Bremman High School in Midlothian, IL.
Carolyn was an owner of Tamera’s Forever Bridal, Inc. a family business that she loved. Carolyn also worked in retail management for several years at Surrey’s, Macy’s and Dillard’s. She also worked for Barnett Bank in the retail lending department and American Bank. Prior to that Carolyn was the executive secretary to Mayor Daly in Chicago, IL. She also worked at a florist in Chicago, but the job she always said she treasured the most was being a mother, and a homemaker. She loved being a room mother and a chaperone traveling to all the basketball games as her daughter Tamera was a cheerleader and the Opus trips.
Carolyn loved music and played the organ and piano by ear. She loved flowers and gardening, painting, crafts, playing cards, loved the beach, girls shopping trips, going to Disney World and Epcot, and she loved her cat Casey so much. What she loved the most was spending time with family and friends, and she loved being on the alter guild at church and how very much she Loved the Lord.
Carolyn was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Stuart, Fl. Where she was very active and served on the alter guild for many years.
Carolyn is survived by her husband David E. Marion, of Port St. Lucie, Fl. Her daughter Tamera (Bill) Steward – Burdette of Port St. Lucie, Fl., her loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, Aunt & Uncle, Sister in Laws, Brother-in-Law, Cousins and Nieces and Nephews.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Melvin & Jeannette C. Werner in 2003 and her former husband David A. Steward aka. Genovese in 2017.
Visitation will be held on Saturday November 5, 2022, from 5-7pm at Aycock Funeral Home, 950 NE Jensen Beach Blvd. Jensen Beach, Fl 34957. A funeral service will be held on Sunday November 6, 2022, at 1:00pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Stuart, Fl. 2450 SE Ocean Blvd. Stuart, FL 34996 with internment to follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, FL. 1501 South Kanner Hwy. Stuart, FL 34994.
