Maxine Baird Thomas, 91, of Jasper, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital. Visitation will be held at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home on Saturday, July 2, 2016, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral services will be immediately following at 11:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Walker Memory Gardens. George P. Maronge, Jr. will officiate. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Willard C. Thomas; parents, Searcy Scott Baird, Sr. and Pearlie Peake Baird; and brother, Searcy Scott Baird, Jr. She is survived by her sons, Gary K. Thomas (Donna) and Michael R. Thomas (Carol); daughter, Marilyn Sue Briggs (Scott); grandchildren, Traci Rowland, Rebecca Bronowski (Todd), Christopher Davis (Charlene), Matthew Briggs and Michelle Thomas; seven great-granchildren; and a host of special family and friends.
