Jeffrey Lynn Taylor

Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, from 6 until 8 p.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Service will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 2 p.m., in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, with burial at Edgil Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Greg Tinker will officiate.

Jeff was a loving husband for 45 years, a daddy for 35 years, a father in love for 11 years and a poppie for 15 years. Poppie’s whole world revolved around his family. He loved the Lord, the New Orleans Saints, the Crimson Tide and Fishing with Jay. Poppie devoted all his time to helping his family anyway he could. He enjoyed working with his hands, remodeling our home and other building projects with Greg by his side.

He was preceded by his parents, George R. Taylor and Johnnie Faye Taylor Jenkins; brothers, George R. Taylor, Jr. and Lonnie Taylor; grandparents, Griffon and Nora Taylor and Johnny and Willie Amerson; in-laws, Craig and Frances Baker.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Brenda Taylor; daughter, Kasey Brown (Greg); grandchildren, Jay Brown, Anna-Grace Brown and Kenzleigh Brown; sisters, Connie Taylor and Cindy Lefan (Johnny); brothers, Scott Taylor (Audrey), William R. Jenkins, Jr., Mike Jenkins, Randall Jenkins (Wendy); sisters-in-law, Tammie Taylor and Deb Taylor and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Greg Brown, Jay Brown, Scott Taylor, Justin Taylor, Joe Taylor and Noah Taylor.
