Fred Gary Long

The family will be receiving friends at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home, from 12 until 1 p.m., on Thursday, April 24, 2025. Service will follow at 1 p.m., in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, with burial at Crestview Memorial Gardens. Wayne Pugh will officiate.

Fred was a Veteran of the United States Army. He loved classic cars and was a member of the Bama Drifters Car Club. He also enjoyed fishing and going to the beach. Fred was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Obie and Nell Long.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Linda Long; daughter, Tammy Floore (Chris); grandchildren, Jacob Hill (Kassey), Miranda Hill, Jessica Floore, Amanda Richardson (Ryan); 6 great grandchildren; brother, Russell Long (Peggy), sister, Carol Mitchell (Gary) and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be David Childers, Jason Childers, Josh Childers, Thomas Fisher, Ryan Richardson, Cody Long and Jacob Hill.
