I am so saddened to see news of Willie’s passing. We were great friends at Bolles. It is only because of his teachings that I can drive a stick shift. He would insist I practice with his Thing during study hall. He was such a sweet, kind and supportive person. Many kind thoughts for his family.

Dear Alison and Family, 
We were  saddened to read of your loss in About Bolles. I knew Willie at both Bolles and FSU. Alison, my husband, Sam, was in the Barnett mgmt. training class behind you. I’m pretty sure  you and Willie were part of the crowd who met  on the south Riverbank for refreshments on Friday nights.  Wille gave me some sage boyfriend advice and I took  care of business. Thanks, Wille!  I could go on and on about Willie’s wonderful traits but I know you already know more  than I could say. Willie was the real deal, a genuine  person. He will be missed by many from all walks of life. Willie, I look forward to a wry and funny comment when St. Peter meets me at the gate.  

Very sad to hear we lost Willie.  He was a very special and unique person.  Willie is my brother, my friend, and my teacher.  Willie helped me grow at college and I will forever remember his infectious personality.  A bunch of kids met in Tallahassee some 45 years ago and began life together - without fear.  Willie was the leader of the pack.  I love you brother.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. As a family, we met Bill years ago when our son, Wyatt, began playing in the Challenger Little League Baseball Division out in Arlington on Friday nights with Jack. Known as ‘Coach Bill’ to us, he was always there, every year, helping in the field and at the plate. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Kemp family.🙏

I am deeply saddened about the loss of our dear Alpha Tau Omega fraternity brother, Willie.  My most heartfelt condolences to his lovely family and I hope that my prayers will bring them comfort and peace during this sad time.    

Willie was a great ATO brother.  He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a very kind person.  He will be missed.  May God give Brother Willie eternal rest. 

Alison, Elizabeth and Jack,  We are so sorry to hear about William/Dad.  While I didn’t know him very well, I do know he was devoted to his family!  You have incredible memories to hang onto.  Pat and I have you in our thoughts and prayers and if you need anything, please reach out to us!

The Kemper - so many memories - as nice a person as you’ll ever meet - as funny to be around too. I could write page after page, but I’ll share just one of hundreds. 1979 and I was just a pledge at ATO and the Kemper decides I should help him do the grocery shopping for the Fraternity - he was the kitchen manager. Off to Publix we go, he decides we need to cook corn beef and cabbage so he hands me two ribeyes. With a puzzled look I ask what’s up - he said with that special smirk “you and I aren’t eating that junk” - so after catching some grief at the dinner table that night we waited till things died down and we went into the kitchen and grilled the ribeyes - best steak I ever had. I miss the old days, Kemper, Faulk, Rathbun, so many great times - Kemper was one of a kind and I will remember him always - RIP and we will meet again someday

So sad to hear this news.  I worked with William at AT&T then BellSouth Long Distance and we quickly found out we were both FSU fans and lived in the same area.   William was a true family man and was immensely proud of his wife and children.  He was sharp, witty and I can hear him on the phone now saying "Yeh buddy.....and he also called a lot of people "Boss".   My deepest sympathies to Alison, Elizabeth and Jack.  I know no words can make this much better but hopefully knowing how many of us loved William will.   Rest in Peace Boss - we'll miss you.   

He will always be  “Willie” to me. We were fraternity brothers at FSU in the ‘70s. I was “Iba” and Willie was my friend. I have vivid memories of fun times with him. We played pinball together at the ATO house and he showed me how to lift the machine off the front two legs and drop it causing free games to register. We played for hours!  I rode with him in his orange VW “Thing” enjoying the Tallahassee sunshine. We drank just the right number of 20 ounce draft beers at Ken’s Tavern. He could absolutely crush a softball and I can’t remember him ever saying something bad about anyone . Dozens of times when I have been watching  a crime show on TV I remember him telling me something he learned in a Criminology class. You can tell which bullet went through a window first by the pattern of the cracks. The first one spiderwebs in all directions and the cracks from later ones stop when they get to the cracks of the first one.  Willie was genuine and real, like the salt of the earth. You could always count on him and he would step up to help when others wouldn’t.

So sorry to hear of Williams passing. We both worked with him at AT&T.  William was always smiling and joking, he always made work a bit more fun. He spoke often of his family and trips to North Carolina. 
He was a devoted husband and father, an all around great guy.  

I am so very sorry to learn of William's sudden passing far too soon in his life. We worked together at AT&T for many years and he was always professional and gentlemanly.  Afterwards, we ran into each other at Winn-Dixie and other San Marco area places. My deepest sympathy to his wife and children; I know he will be greatly missed. Now he will be watching over you and helping you from Heaven. You are in my prayers.

William is an amazing brother friend and mentor to me. He changed my life from going to law school which was a thought, and then helping me better understand the polygraph business, it was a career i fell in love with.  Even though we weren't bilogical brothers, our parents treated us both as sons.  As fate would have it, on one tuesday evening; after our death and dying class at FSU.  We decided to go to one of our favorite watering holes to throw darts and have some beverages. We were T- boned on the way to the bar by a 1968 Fury wagon driven my a college student coming home from  " Freds Backdoor Lounge". Williams early 1970's Datsun B210 was totalled, we went back to the fraternity house and then proceeded in my car to the watering hole.  The next morning we didn't remember a thing, we were shocked we had been in an accident. Looking at the car God's hand was our savior. I know William is at God's right hand protecting us all.   We all have special William story  (Willie as we knew him or "The Kemper".) Everyone he touched loved him  Rest in Peace Brother,  as we mourn a dear friend. He was blessed to have Alison in his life; she has always been special to all of us. I love you Willie and I am sure we all feel that way. For all the angels in Heaven you better order some larger robes, a great cook is coming home.

I did not know Mr. Kemp, but I know Liz very well and because she is such a kind and loving person, I know that he must have been so as well. I have also met Jack on several occasions, and he too is an absolute delight. My deepest condolences go out to this family, who I know loves big, but will now also hurt big with the loss of their dear father and husband. My heartfelt prayers are with you. 

I enjoyed working with William at AT&T.  He had a kind heart and would do anything to support his friends.  He will be missed.

I am lost with words and shocked to hear the transition of William. He was always so quiet, calm but very nice. I can remember seeing him at Love Grove every morning when I dropped Tamari. He always said hello to us. I am here for you, Jack and Liz. I will see you soon sweet lady. I am praying God comforts and give you peace during this time. I love you Alison so much! I am so sorry to hear of Williams’s untimely passing. You all have been together for a very long time and weathered many of life’s storms. Along with the rest of the ATO community, I was very saddened to hear of Willie’s passing.   He’ll be remembered as a great brother and friend, would give you the shirt off his back and was always ready for a good time.   His legacy will burn bright with his friends and family, we wish you much prayer and comfort as you work through these difficult days.
