William “Bill” Guilford was born on July 21, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri to Myrtle and Irving Guilford. He graduated from McCluer High School, Ferguson, MO in 1971, joined the Army Reserves and trained in welding. After basic training, he worked as a welder for 40 years. He was relocated to Jacksonville, FL in 1997 and retired there in 2012.
He learned to hunt, fish, and camp at an early age and continued to enjoy them for many years. After retirement, he also took over the kitchen, cooking and grilling with ideas and recipes from Food Network, which he spent a lot of time watching.
He leaves many memories to be cherished by his wife, Patricia “Pat” (Oligschlaeger) of St Johns, FL; his son Keith (Brianne) of Edwardsville, IL;his daughter Michelle (Ben) Burnett of Palatka, FL; his sibling Marlene (Dick) Timmerberg of Lenoir City, TN; his grandchildren Jeremy, Glenn, Everett, Emma, and Arlo; in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors, and coworkers.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or MD Anderson Cancer Center.
