William Sylvester Bennett

William was born in Manatee County, Florida on August 8, 1943. He was married to Harriett Faulk for 16 years. He had careers in construction, insurance, and agriculture. William was a Free Mason member of the Albert J. Russell Lodge. He loved Nascar, fishing, and going to the dog track. He greatly enjoyed football and was an avid Florida Gators football fan.

William is survived by his children, Kimberly Foster, Sheri Nichols, Janet Christie, and Stephen Bennett, as well as 3 Son-in-laws and 1 Daughter-in-law. He also leaves to cherish his memory 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 nephews, and 3 nieces. He was dearly loved and will be missed.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Hardage-Giddens Edgewood, 729 Edgewood Ave. South, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, December 22, 2016, at Hardage-Giddens Edgewood, with burial to follow at 2:30pm at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville FL 32205.
