Virginia Lohr was born December 12, 1917 to John Henry and Bertha Horn in Dothan, AL. She was married to Elmo Lohr on September 16, 1936. She passed away at home in Jacksonville, FL October 14, 2014.
She is survived by her brothers, Charles Horn, Sam Horn and wife Julia; sister, Rose Holton; daughter, Eleanor Brayshaw and husband Gerald Brayshaw; sons, Dr. Roy Lohr and wife Joyce, and Dan Lohr and wife Connie; grandchildren, Kirt Brayshaw, Christal Lance and husband, Jerry Lance, Teri Bartley and husband, John Bartley, John Lohr and wife Jeanie Lohr, Dr. Jason Lohr and wife Dr. Belen Lohr; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was a life-long Jacksonville resident and a member of the Mandarin SDA Church, where she served as deaconess for many years. She was employed in the Dietary department at a local hospital for 15 years.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Sunday, October 19th from 6-8 pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 20th at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mandarin Cemetery
