Victor was born in San Francisco Minalin Province, Pampanga, Philippines on May 6, 1932. He was the fourth child of eight to Victor & Sergia Dionisio.
Pursuing to enlist in the US Navy in September 1959, brought him much joy when he was able to assist his family financially back in the Philippines. He was a Vietnam & Cuban War Veteran, receiving various conduct awards, service medals, and expeditionary medals; Served several tours from Norfolk, San Diego, Philippines, Tennessee, and Jacksonville to an Honorable Discharge in January 1983 after 24 years of dedicated military service. He worked for the US Postal Service upon military retirement for a few years.
Victor was proud of his Filipino heritage living out the American dream. He left behind a legacy of love and devotion as he was the catalyst in the growth of his extended family in the US in pursuit of a better life for them all.
His passions included watching the Jacksonville Jaguars, dining out, and most of all, family and friends’ gatherings. His impact on the lives around him was profound, loved, and respected by many as his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Victor is survived by his wife, Ofelia “Fely” married 58 years; Children: Stephanie & Jay, Victor & Erika, Steven & May, Des & Corey; Grandchildren: Jason, Marisa, Adriana, Joshua, Elaina, Stevie, Diego, & Isabelle. His presence will be deeply missed by many.
A visitation for Victor will be held Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Hardage Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 23, 2024 at Christ the King Catholic Church, with Rev. Rafael S. Lavilla Jr., officiating. Christ the King is located at 742 Arlington Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32211. A committal service will occur Friday, August 23, 2024 from 12:00pm to 12:30pm, 850 St. Johns Bluff Road N, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
