She is survived by 3 sons - John Mitchell (Dee), Robert Mitchell, Brian Mitchell (Debi) as well as nephews, nieces, many grandchildren, great grand and great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband Jack Mitchell and daughter Suzanne Teter.
Valerie was deeply involved with many organizations such as, Beaches Chapel, Seniors On A Mission & 10 years as a Beaches Baptist Auxiliary volunteer. And of course, her monthly tea parties with “Valerie’s Wanderers”.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 21, 2018 in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. N. Jacksonville, FL 32225.
