He graduated from Andrew Jackson High School, and then was a S 1-C in the United States Navy. March 1, 1941 he married Patricia Marilyn Rowe, now deceased.
After Tommy’s stint in the U.S. Navy, he worked for Brandon & Sons Plumbing, the Mayflower Hotel, Jacksonville Electric Authority as a Steam Power Plant Operator, retired from JEA after 25 years, and finally became the Superintendent of Fenimore Apartments. He was a member of the Bible Believers Baptist Church.
A few of the things Tommy enjoyed was fishing, fixing and repairing anything, feeding his cats and raccoons and he would talk to anyone.
He is survived by daughter, Drena Peacock (David); granddaughter, Michelle Stingone (Joe); great-granddaughters, Kristin and Kayla; great-grandson, Joey; sister, Irene Hutto; 5 great-great-grandchildren and many other extended family members.

A visitation for Tommy will be held Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Bible Believers Baptist Church, 3857 Hartley Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32257. A celebration of life will occur Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, 3857 Hartley Rd, Jacksonville, Florida 32257. A committal service will occur Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
