Sarah Celeste Harrison, 89, passed away April 30, 2015, at the Atrium by Brookdale Skilled Nursing Center in Jacksonville, FL. She was born October 27, 1925 in Plant City, FL. Sarah graduated from Florida State University when it was an all-women’s college. She was a Teacher in Duval and St. John’s counties, finishing her career at Neese High School.
Sarah was the loving wife of the late Frederick Harrison who passed away in January 2002. She is survived by her two sons, Frederick W.”Bill,” and James “Jim” Harrison; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 9 at 10 a.m. in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. Interment to follow at Mandarin Cemetery Jacksonville, FL. A luncheon will be held at Ortega Presbyterian Church, 4406 Longfellow St. Jacksonville, FL, immediately following services.
