Ruby W. Duncan

Ruby W. Duncan, age 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 29, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida. Ruby was a devout Christian and one of the original members of Terry Parker Baptist Church. Ruby was married to Ben her husband and best friend for 63 years and happiest when surrounded by her family. She was loving, caring, selfless, and always helping others. Ruby is survived by her husband Ben Duncan; her children Richard Duncan and Joy Schaeffer (John); sister Doris Nettlehurst (Charles); brother Ray McCollum (Doris) of Orlando; her grandchildren Suzanne, Cameron, Scott, Austin; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior beginning at 11:00 a.m. The family wishes to thank the staff of Community Hospice of Northeast Florida for their help during Ruby's final journey home to be with our Lord. The family also wishes to thank Dr. Richard Glock for the long-term and loving care provided to Ruby and the family for over 30 years.
