Roy Charles (Butch) Shirley, age 73, passed away peacefully at home in Jacksonville, Florida, on December 7, 2021. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on February 21, 1948. Roy lived most of his life in Jacksonville
and graduated from Paxon High School, class of 1966. Following high school he worked primarily in construction, loved to hunt and fish, and enjoyed caring for his many pets.
Roy was predeceased by his parents Charles Glasco Shirley and Birdie Nance Shirley. He is survived by his sisters, Linda L. Shirley of Jacksonville, Florida, and Nancy Shirley (Robert) Graeter of Falls Church, Virginia, and by his nephew Michael (Jeanine) Goldfarb of Dix Hill, NY.
Roy chose to be cremated and services with the family will be held at a later date.
