He was an adoring son, brother, husband, father, Uncle and grandparent to his family; he worked many years in road construction, working as a crane operator. After retiring, Rossie moved to Jacksonville, Fl to be closer to family. He was a member of the Charity Baptist Church in Archdale NC, which he faithfully attended virtually every week.
Rossie was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years Irene Cartrette, parents Lona and Wilson Cartrette, daughter Crystal Cartrette, stepson Steven Murariu and Sisters Julia Cartrette Brooks and Mary Cartrette Tanner.
He is survived by his son Todd (Pamela) Cartrette and stepdaughter Tina (Steven) Bess, stepson Joe Murariu, brother Larry (Jeannie) Cartrette, sister Isadore Cartrette Shell, as well as many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren and soon to be great-grandson.
A visitation for Rossie will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
