Ron was born in Fort Wayne Indiana May 15,1941 the son of Ronald N And Garnet Taylor who preceded him in death.
Ron was a proud graduate of Purdue University and an avid and loyal fan of Purdue sports.
Following graduation from Purdue in the early 60's Ron began a long successful career in the Railroad industry as a management trainee on the B&O railroad.
Over the next five decades Ron’s Career took him to assignments in various departments in at least nine states with the B&O, Chessie, CSX, Indiana Railroad and RWT. Ron’s charm, Intelligence, and good nature attracted lifelong friends at every stop.
Ron is survived by his Loving wife Beverly, a sister Sondra Loson, a brother Michael Taylor (Patti), sons Neil Taylor (Dorie), Russ Farrell (Laura), and daughter Christine Berry (Ron). Much loved Grandchildren Sam, Hannah, Michael, Alea, and Riley and numerous nephews and nieces.
Ron was a longtime member of the Fort Wayne First Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed travel, golf, and spending time with family and friends. He was a lifetime passionate dog lover.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 am on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Legacy Lodge, 4801 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville, Florida, 32207 with funeral service beginning at 11:00 am. with committal services to follow.
