Ronald "Ronnie" Edward Rogers

Ronald “Ronnie “ Edward Rogers, 80, of Jacksonville, FL passed away Sunday Nov 7 at St Vincent’s Medical Center Riverside Community Hospice to his late parents, Price “Jimmy” Henry Rogers and Mary Jane Edenfield Rogers.

Ronnie worked in the Life Insurance Business as a Salesman and also a Manager for over 40 years. He had a passion for deer hunting and always working on his farm and building something. He loved his family dearly and planned yearly our family reunion on his and wife Annie’s beautiful property in MacClenny, FL. He was a member of the Jones Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Richard Wayne Rogers; one brother-in-law, J.M. “Buddy” Phillips; one niece, Cheri Lynn Phillips; and one son, David Allen Rogers.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Annie Louise Sands Rogers; daughter, Annell Johns and son in law Robert Johns; sister, Mary Jo Ann Phillips, of Tallahassee, FL; sister-in-law, Gail C. Rogers of Deland, FL; two grandchildren, Jannell Veronica Anstett and her husband Juan Michael Anstett, and Johnathan Allen Shortridge; one great grandson, Ethan Cole Shortridge , Ronnie’s only great grandson; Ronnie also wanted to include his Ex Son-in-law, John Henry Shortridge , which has been a blessing with all his help over the past year.

Ronnie also leaves numerous nephews and nieces, that he cherished dearly, Mike Phillips, Hal Rogers, Jeff Rogers, Price Rogers, Taylor Rogers, Madison Rogers, Emmalee Helms, John Michael Phillips, Jarrett Rogers, Blake Rogers, Brayden Rogers, Rylynn Rogers, Khoen Rogers, Lisa Phillips, Renee Rogers, Brynn Rogers and Katie Toth.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Hardage-Giddens Riverside from 5pm to 8pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Jones Road Baptist Church at 1:30pm. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
