Robert Everett Smith

Robert graduated from Robert E. Lee High School afterwards serving in the Air Force. He was a Supervisor at Alton Boxboard formerly known as Owens Illinois Co. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Robert enjoyed fishing, visiting the Florida Keys and he loved his Florida Gators! Robert also enjoyed entertaining one and all telling jokes when he wasn’t enjoying a big slice of Coconut Cream Pie! He was

affiliated with the Lakeshore Church of Christ.

Robert is survived by his Best Friend of 66 years Noel (Bonnie) Drew, Caretaker Rene (John) Rawlings and neighbor Sherrie Bently as well as many nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his parents McMichael and Lillian Smith, 4 sisters Eleta Rogers, Mary Smith, Kathleen Myers and Jeanette Parks as well as 5 brothers Michael, Horace, Lee, Charlie and David Smith.

A visitation for Robert will be held Friday, April 4, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 10:00 AM, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Followed by a committal will at 11:00 AM at Riverside Memorial Cemetery, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
