Beckie was born February 24, 1955 and was the second of 7 siblings born to Howard Roy Edsall and Dorothy June Edsall. She was born in Watonga, Oklahoma but spent her earlier years in Mountain View, California prior to returning to Oklahoma as a teenager with her family. Rebecca was a 1976 graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Biology in Weatherford, Oklahoma and earned a second degree in Laboratory Sciences from the University Southern Mississippi in 1981. Beckie was active in her church as a minister and performed several marriages for family and friends. Beckie had various hobbies, including knitting, collecting seashells and collecting hundreds of salt and pepper shakers.
Rebecca Edsall and Danny Randolph were married on December 30, 1976, in Enid, Oklahoma and lived several years in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Beckie and her husband moved to Hattiesburg, MS in 1979. Beckie worked as a Medical Technologist in Mississippi from 1981 to 1987, and moved to Jacksonville, Florida in May of 1987. Rebecca worked at Riverside Hospital from 1987 until 1992 and transferred to St Vincent Riverside Hospital, working as a Medical Technologist and assisted the Medical Lab in coordinating computer information to doctor offices and to billing services, Rebecca retired in March 2021.
Beckie’s mother and father proceeded her in death and the surviving family includes her Husband, her daughters Angela Denison in Dayton, Texas, Naomi Randolph in Claremore, Oklahoma and Vanessa Randolph in Jacksonville, Florida. There are currently 5 grandchildren and 8 Great grandchildren.
A visitation for Rebecca will be held Friday, October 18, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Following the visitation will be a memorial service from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
