with the Lord on May 1, 2012. She was born
July 10, 1925 in Chattanooga, TN and has
been a resident of Jacksonville since 1951.
Mrs. Fitzpatrick was the loving wife of J. R.
Fitzpatrick. They met in Atlanta, GA while he
served in the U.S. Army during WWII. J. R.
Fitzpatrick passed into heaven on Dec. 20,
2009 preceding his faithful and loving wife Polly.
She was a longtime member of Southside
Estates Baptist Church, which later became
Kernan Blvd. Baptist Church. Mrs. Fitzpatrick
lovingly known as "Polly" volunteered her time
in so many ways to help others. She helped
in soup kitchens and nursing homes, touching
numerous lives with her loving nature. Mrs.
Fitzpatrick was a woman of great faith and will
be missed by many.
Survivors include her 4 children, 6 grandchildren
and 13 great-grandchildren.
