Nazia Zarina Khan, who was born in Skeldon hospital in Guyana on July 6th 1982 to her late father Shabeer Khan and surviving mother Bebi Rahaman, also known as Shakela and sister of Fareez Khan. She passed away at her home on January 2nd, 2023 at the age of 40. She started Skeldon Line Path Secondary School and continued there until she migrated to the United States in 1994. She would then go on to graduate from John Adams high school and became a medical assistant. She was the wife of Brian Castaneda, mother of Eliana Castaneda, daughter in law to Ramiro and Jeannie Castaneda. She loved a wide variety of music, from Hindi, to Reggae, to rock, to pop. She was very generous to those she loved and was an exceptional judge of character. Nazia was very outspoken and would stand up for the people that she loved and herself.
She brought joy with her into the room. She was known to light up the room, and she never had a problem keeping the conversation going. She loved spending time with her family, her friends, and her precious Eliana. She would frequently take Eliana to Chuck-E-Cheese (sometimes multiple times a week), the playground, any many more places.
She loved every second with you, sweet girl and she will be greatly missed. Nazia will forever remain in our hearts.
A visitation for Nazia will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
