Mitchell Glenn Cooksey born April 14, 1958 as the first child to Glenn and Betty Cooksey, was a lifelong native of Jacksonville, Florida except for four years that he lived in Fort White, Florida to be closer to his beloved Florida Gators, where he became a member of the Gator Touchdown Club.
He was a Christian and member of North Jacksonville Baptist Church.
Mitchell went to University Christian School where he was very active on the basketball team. He played football with the Pop Warner leagues. Mitchell graduated from FCCJ in 1976. He is best known by many from his many hours working with the San Mateo baseball park.
