Mr. Hatton attended Hannibal Senior High School in Hannibal, Missouri. He worked in the amusement industry many years, most recently for Venture Vending.
Michael was most passionate about family and spent all his spare time involved with them. He volunteered his time for his grandchildren at school, scouting and sports events. He was a member of The Journey Church in Fernandina, Florida.
Michael was preceded in death by his son, Michael Hatton, Jr., his father, William L. Hatton, his mother, Mary R. Hatton and his grandparents.
Surviving Michael is his wife Shirley A. Hatton and 3 step-children: Candice Hallack of Yulee, FL, Christian Pabst and Stephanie Pabst of Jacksonville, Florida. Also surviving are two brothers, William R. Hatton (his wife Marla Hatton) of Hannibal, Missouri and Jeff Hatton of St. Louis, Missouri. He has many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held this Wednesday, January, 29, 2014 at 2 pm at the Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills location 850 St. Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, Florida 32225 (904) 640-9755.
