Margaret C. Mason

Margaret “Peg” C. Mason, 91, passed peacefully in her home in Jacksonville, FL on July 4, 2010. She was born in Bristol. PA and moved to the area in 1946 with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and enjoyed bowling, golf, dancing and traveling. She was a former President of the Lakewood Women’s Club from 1959-1963 and a devout member of Lakewood United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Howard Mason; and her parents, Clifford and Margaret Appleton. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons, Ron Clifford Mason, Michael Stephen Mason, Mark Alan Mason; daughter, Diane Carol Baggett; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great- grandchildren; and many treasured friends. Family will accept flowers or memorial contributions to Community Hospice of NE FL, 4266 Sunbeam Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32257. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 7th, from 3-5 p.m. at Hardage Giddens Funeral Home.
