Loretta was the smartest woman I have ever known, and the dumbest thing she ever did was to marry me. Loretta also was brought up to have a deep abiding faith and a devotion to the Blessed Mother.
Loretta’s passion was in being an administrator, she loved telling people what to do. She loved this not because it made her feel better about herself, she loved it because of what her advice and encouragement built. Loretta took a small housing authority In Branford and made it into the most desirable rental property of its kind in the county, she also taught the town of Branford how to write grants to improve the towns infrastructure. Loretta was Parish Administrator at St. Madeline in High Springs, Fl. Where she helped insure the Family Life Center not only completed on budget but with quality over and above what budget called for. Every where Loretta worked was more profitable and efficient when she left. The thing that makes me proudest of her was she never thought any of it was something to brag about. She made people better, she made me better, and she made me whole.
Loretta is survived by three loving daughters Melissa Johnson, Jodi Burke and Nikole Maddox. Two wonderful granddaughters Kaitlyn and Taylore, one great granddaughter Braelyn one great grandson Bryson and one grandson Gabe both the boys where her heart and her pride.
I personally wish to thank the three girls for all their help in caring for Loretta.
Also the staff at St. Vincent’s for their compassion and prayers
