Kevin Sullivan of St. Johns, Florida, 59, passed away unexpectedly on January 18th, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Sharon (McGann) of 25 years and the loving father of Christine and Charlie. Kevin was born to Charles and Mary Sullivan November 8th, 1959 in Brooklyn, New York, and was raised in Floral Park, New York.
A gifted athlete who excelled in all sports, he graduated from Floral Park Memorial High School (1977) and attended St. John’s University, where he played quarterback. He helped foster his love of sports by volunteering as the softball coach at San Juan del Rio Catholic School for five years. But his true passion was golf. Kevin could be found playing on golf courses from coast to coast. An avid reader, he was fascinated by American history and politics.
Kevin’s early career began in the hotel and restaurant industry in New York City and Telluride, Colorado. With his brothers, he was a founding partner of the Southampton Publick House, a successful microbrewery and restaurant in Southampton, New York.
After relocating to St. Johns, Kevin became a member of the 3-D Technology family. As their dedicated Logistics Director, he established and developed successful business relationships nationwide. He was a road warrior, logging several hundreds of thousands of miles across the country.
With the love of his life, Sharon, by his side, Kevin believed that the sole purpose of his life was to be Christine and Charlie’s Daddy. For the past 19 years, he dedicated himself to being their hero, role model, best friend, and forever guardian angel.
Kevin leaves behind his Uncle Donald Sullivan, Aunt Patricia Gwozdz, and his four siblings: Charles (Amanda), James (Maureen), Donald, Maureen King (Donald). He was adored and was an inspiration to his 26 nieces and nephews, the McGann family, and countless friends.
