Kenneth Randall Warren (Ken), 79, of Jacksonville, FL passed away very suddenly on Friday, July 20, 2018. Ken was born at home on the farm on November 10, 1938 in Little Coharie Township, Sampson County, State of North Carolina. He was a 1957 Graduate of Clement High School, Autryville, North Carolina (where he continued to return for a Class Reunion each year). He was predeceased by his parents, William Addison and Viola Tew Warren, his 3 sisters, Ersula Tyndall, Iruthie Spell, Inez Jolly and 5 brothers, Preston, William Bennett(W.B), Almond D., Medford, Johnnie Claxton and Donnie Ray Warren.
Throughout his life, Ken was a gentleman, one who loved the Lord and was a longtime faithful member of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church (now known as Harvest Ministries) in Jacksonville, FL. Ken loved spending time with his family and friends, playing the piano, camping, traveling (having visited all the states, except 2), Alaska, Canada and China. A favorite vacation was going to Maggie Valley, North Carolina each October, renting a house to stay in and enjoying the Smokey Mountains and the changing of the leaves. He enjoyed flying his drone with his son, Michael and had a love of cars, old and new. Two of his main loves were the two family dogs - Schnauzer's named Toby and Hershey. He spoiled them rotten. Bacon was one of their favorite things and for every piece Ken had, they got the same. After lunch time you could find all three in Ken's lounge chair napping, with Toby between his legs and Hershey laying next to his side.
Ken leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and cherished memories.
Upon graduation, Kenneth, enlisted in the United States Air Force and went to Texas for boot camp. Due to a medical condition, he was released with a General Discharge under Honorable Conditions. Upon returning home, he took a train to Jacksonville, FL, where he lived with his sister, Inez and her family. He attended a school for Data Processing in the Five Points Area on the west side of Jacksonville. Upon graduating he went to work at Independent Life Insurance Co. in the Data Processing Department. After a number of years, he went to American Heritage Life Insurance and National Merchandise Companies, as Asst. Manager in their Data Processing Departments. In later years, he worked for EF&I Services Corp., as a telecom lead installer, until retiring due to a knee injury.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sharon and their sons, Brian Keith and David Michael Warren of Jacksonville, Fl. Also, a loving sister-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews in North Carolina and Florida.
