Katie Lou (Bryan) Graham passed away unexpectedly on February 12, 2018. She was born April 9, 1936 in Ft. White, Florida to the late Luther and Jessie Bryan. Katie lived in Jacksonville for 52 years. She and her husband, Richard (deceased) raised three children: David (Brenda), Angie (Chuck), and Norman (Suzanne). She was a devoted mother whose care reached beyond her family over the years to the extensive care of aunts, nieces and countless others. Growing up in Athens, Georgia, she was always an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. Katie loved playing bridge, organizing various groups including one at Taylor Manor where she lived. Over the years she was a skilled bowling league member, Girl Scout leader, Sunday School teacher, Booster Club member, and loved researching family genealogy. Above all these, however, she was always helping others with daily needs, whether family or friends, going above and beyond in her care of those in need. She loved her ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, leaving them with lots of special memories. She is also survived by one sister, Betty Sorrow, and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her.
Her funeral will be held at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 2:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM and interment at Oaklawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tim Tebow Foundation, 2220 County Road 210 West, Suite 108, PMB 317, Jacksonville, Florida 32259.
