Josephine T. Ingold

Josephine was born to parents Joseph Lawton Taylor and Leonia Herring Taylor on November 17, 1942.

Josephine married George W. Gibbs Sr. In 1956 and had three sons together. They moved to Tampa in the early 1960’s. After their divorce she moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1969 with her three sons.

Josephine married the love of her life W. C. Ingold in 1976. They enjoyed traveling especially their trips to Las Vegas.

Josephine is preceded in death by her parents Joseph Lawton Taylor and Leonia Herring Taylor. Her husband W. C. Ingold and son Marvin Paul Gibbs Sr., sisters Hazel Jeraldine Taylor Kersey, Colline Taylor Thomas Merritt and brother Wilson Stone.

She is survived by her sister Willie Taylor Walker (Mack), sons George W. “Skip” Gibbs Jr. (Robin), Joseph “JE” Edward Gibbs (Jan), Daughter in Law’s Tina Gibbs (Paul) and Kathy Gibbs Jenkins (Craig) and dear friend who is like a daughter Geraldine Baker. Grandchildren; Candice Jo Gibbs Franzel (Allen), Jessica Lynn Gibbs, Mike Bratcher (Carrie), Jenny Nettles (John), Marie Gibbs, David Gibbs (Ashley), Marvin Paul Gibbs Jr. (Nikki). Many loving great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Josephine will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will occur Friday, December 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A committal service will occur Friday, December 13, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
