Joseph "Joey" Fulton Russ

Joey was born February 7,1971, in Jacksonville, Fl to Joseph F. Russ Jr. and Bonnie Russ. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Joseph & Rosalee Russ and Robert and Merle Savage; and his brother Michael (Mike) Russ.

Joey has three amazing children, Cynthia Russ, Joseph Russ and Felicity Russ; and three wonderful grandchildren Zaylee Schieder, Cayden Battersby and Audrey Russ.

He met the love of his life Jeanette Wilson in 2008 along with her two sweet children Isaac and Tirza Wilson. With love and respect, they had for each other they all became a family. Later, Isaac blessed them with two additional grandchildren Issy and Azhai Wilson.

Joey attended Paxon Senior High School. He was employed by Q-Pac of St. Augustine, Fl where he was the facilities Management Supervisor. He truly loved his job and the wonderful people he worked with every day.

He was a person who loved to make jokes and making people laugh. There was hardly a day that went by that he didn’t send his dad and other family members a funny picture or joke.

He loved being outdoors with nature and animals especially the Everglades, Joey would go out of his way to make sure no animal would be harmed. He enjoyed playing his game with a close group of friends and spending time with his family and family gatherings, but it has been determined he just loved to eat.

His multitude of friends and family will miss him dearly. He was taken from us way too soon. Joey will always be loved and missed but never forgotten.

Funeral service will be 11 am Saturday, September 25 at Riverview Church of Christ. Visitation will take place Friday September 24 in the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home 1426 Rowe Ave, Jacksonville, Fl. 32208
