Joe was born August 27th, 1943, in West Palm Beach, Florida. He is predeceased by his parents Henry and Frances Brannon and his older brother John Brannon. He studied electronics at a local trade school. He was able to parlay this education into employment for one of the pioneer companies making and selling cable television in the 1960s. He built cable systems in Oregon, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Florida. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Hagan (married in 1968), a daughter, Christie (Brannon) Piper, a son Michael Brannon, a granddaughter, Georgia Piper, and many nieces and nephews. His passion in life was flying the three airplanes he had during his lifetime. He also had various interests including medicine and electronics. He also loved traveling to Australia and New Zealand as well as locations in Europe.

A funeral service will occur Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 1:00 PM, 3619 Toledo Rd # A, Jacksonville, FL 32217. A committal service will occur Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 0906 - Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
