The Smokey’s always in his heart, he frequently traveled there to visit family and to enjoy all the beauty and wildlife that the region had to offer. John was married to his wife of 60 years, Margaret Hall Parsons on January 1, 1960. His faith and his family meant the world to him. One could say that he died of a broken heart after the loss of his wife in April of 2020. Nevertheless, John lived a full life as a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Always one to put his whole heart into whatever he was doing and to stand by his convictions he enjoyed serving his country in the Army Reserves and National Guard, worshiping Christ by singing in the choir and modifying worship songs to sing a new song of praise, and making cherished memories with his family.
He is preceded in death by his wife Margaret, father John, mother Issa, and sister Margaret. Survived by sisters Helen and Marie; daughter Roberta and granddaughter Melissa.
