Janice Lynn Russell, age 74, born February 10th, 1948, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 3, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. She passed away in her home. Janice was very creative and made crafts for friends and loved ones, and enjoyed doing craft shows. Crocheting, sewing, and jewelry making were just some of her many talents. She enjoyed neighbors, friends, working in the yard, and watching her grandchildren Ashley and Tyler when they were children in the summers.
Janice, a loving wife of 40 years, is now with her husband Thomas Jerry Russell, her mother Evelyn Leila Hunter, father Charles Hunter, brother Billy Hunter, daughter Evelyn Pagan, nephew DJ Haynes, and granddaughter Amy LeeAnn Searcy Scott. Janice is survived by her sister Cheri Fissett; son, Warren (Buzz) Newman, Jr. and his wife Monica Newman; granddaughter Ashley Newman; grandsons Tyler, Brendon, and Draven Pagan; step-children Teresa Floyd, Melissa Ryffel, Brad Searcy, Victor Russell, Bryan Russell, James Russell; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
A private family burial will occur at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens.
